M&D Consulting Engineering

Established in 1994 M&D supplied used machinery and technical support, to the Paper & Paperboard converting industry.

With a combined service record of over 60 years in the SHM range of sheeters M & D specialized only in the SHM range and broaden its scope to include spare parts and servicing as well as developing the used machinery side for the SHM sheeter.

Many customers have requirements to convert specialist substrates such as non-woven, polyester & NCR paper – or cut size sheeting – A4, A3 and sheets cut up to 2000mm long – allowing the end user company to extend their customer base with a greater format range.

Mike constable’s technical knowledge and expertise allowed the company to further improve these machines enabling the material to be converted successfully – which can be demonstrated prior to dispatch.

In 2002 M & D were able to offer another excellent product the NEW Comprint 1400 / 1500 Series sheeter. An evolution of the SHM, it now features two motor drive for ease of operation, reliability and higher accuracy.  It comes in 3 versions of High Speed, High Speed Reject and Cut to Preprint. Its high specification and cutting accuracy allow for production speed up to 300m/min.
All models can handle a wide range of substrates such as paper, boards, films, laminated material and sensitive papers, like tracing paper, bible paper, offset print and no carbon required.

Built to the same high standards as the SHM range, but with a much-improved specification, each version has two motor drive, touchscreen controls with automatic sheet length and square. Variable speed controls for both high and low-speed tapes to suit different sheeting materials.

In 2013 M&D Consulting Engineering closed and the activity was successfully taken over by OnPress Technologies Ltd who has a close association over the years and we continue to support SHM users and promote the Comprint range of sheeters.
